For my graduation, my aunt and uncle came up with the perfect gift idea: a briefcase. After all, what better gift for a fledgling lawyer than something to carry around loads of papers and technological necessities. But it got me to thinking: do women use briefcases? And if so, what kind? Or have women simply settled to fitting everything in over-sized purses? As I searched around online, guided by my aunt’s excellent suggestions, I found that regardless of whether women were or were not using briefcases, the pickings were slim: most were down-right unattractive or overly masculine.

After searching high and low, we finally found the perfect one: Lotuff & Clegg’s Leather Zip Top Briefcase. Yes, it is technically a men’s briefcase, but I love it nonetheless.

The leather is buttery, the color is gorgeous, and the fact that it’s handcrafted by a small company based out of Massachusetts (gasp, something actually made in the US??) just sends me over the top. [I'm also coveting their small leather duffel - such a perfect weekend-vacation bag]
